Our 60 Year Story

After serving in WWII, Ray Davis came home and took a job installing roofing for Warburton Roofing. He installed residential roofing for 15 years, before he eventually purchased Warburton, and changed the name to Davis Roofing Inc. Ray established and grew the company by becoming a reputable roofing contractor in the new construction market through the 60’s and 70’s. During that time, Ray’s son-in-law, Dan, was working as an installer under Ray’s guidance.

When Ray retired in 1979, he turned the business over to his daughter and Dan. Dan expanded Davis’ services beyond just roofing and began offering quality siding and gutter installations as well. Dan raised his two sons, Jon and Jeff, in the business by teaching them how to install roofing and siding at a very early age. From installers, they were eventually promoted to sales, before taking over the business from their father in 2015. Through years of experience, Jon and Jeff saw there was a need in the industry, for not just quality installations, but also quality customer service and communication. They saw how other contractors where treating clients, and made it their mission to provide every client with an extraordinary experience, from start to finish. They appointed Jeff to full-time Project Manager, to focus on Quality Control, as well as ensure your project runs as smoothly and efficiently as possible.

They incorporated new digital technologies that provide more accurate measurements and a faster turnaround time, when offering our clients, a precise estimate. They brought in Customer Relations Software to help keep your project organized, scheduled and create clear lines of communication between Davis Team members and our clients. All of these upgrades have proven to give our customers a better overall outcome with their projects, making Davis Roofing Inc. the very best choice for roofing, siding and gutters. After installing over 11,000 projects in Illinois, we felt that our installation practices should be guaranteed by Davis Roofing Inc, , for as long as our clients own the property. In 2016, Jon and Jeff also instituted the Lifetime Installation Warranty, protecting our clients beyond the typical 5–10 year installation warranties that our competitors provide.
